Contest Update

This is just an update on the contest so that you won't think we forgot about you. Cuz we didn't.

I'm know you saw this post then probably thought, "Finally, the winners announced!"

But...that is not so, and I'm sorry.

My super awesome agent, Lauren Hammond, had unforeseen family problems arise. She had a death then a grandparent had a stroke.

I just wanted to pop on here and update you with the things that has happened. I know it's been taking forever, but once in awhile things happen that you have no control over. So, please accept my apologizes.

Lauren has assured me that when things settle down a little she will get back with me on the contest.

In the meantime, please understand and be patient.

I truly am sorry for the delay.

My most awesome agent, Lauren Hammond, should be getting back to me sometime this following week or two with the results of the contest. I'm sorry for the holdup but she has really been swamped.

What? 0.0 An agent swamped?

Yes, she has been swamped doing agent(y)type of things. Including selling my book PERFECTION with a three book deal.

*Happy Butt Dance*

Am I ecstatic? You best believe it! Words can not even describe.

Did I cry? I have to admit I got all teary eye.

I'm sure, as fellow writers, you can imagine the cloud nine I'm on. I'm flying high. And I have lots to do. I'm thinking a different leg of the writing journey is about to begin. I'm ready for it.

A special thanks to Lauren, who believed in me and my story. And a special thanks to all my good writing pals and betas and my blog followers. I've learned a lot from all of you.

Writing is a non-ending learning process. One of the reasons I host the contests that I do on my blog. I will continue with the contests as they come up. I really believe it's a great learning process for all those who enter.

For those of you who entered this last one, please remember Lauren really has been busy. The winners will be posted very soon. She didn't forget.

The post in Publishers Marketplace announcing the deal:

Judy Spelbring's debut PERFECTION, about a teenage girl living in a society focused on the concept of Aryan purity, who has been genetically engineered to be the perfect soldier; and after a harrowing journey, soon discovers that purity comes in many different forms; pitched as SPECIALS meets MEIN KAMPF, to Kate Kaynak at Spencer Hill Press, in a nice deal, in a three-book deal, for publication in May 2013, by Lauren Hammond at ADA Management Group.

Thank you!!
